This is one of the best dessert you could try in Lithuania. Baked with old, Soviet-style pan these waffles are crispy, sweet and very hard to resist! Enjoy!
Mix melted butter with sugar and vanilla sugar. Separate egg yolks and beat them into the mixture. Mix until smooth.
Mix flour with baking powder and pour into butter and eggs mixture. Pour corn flour, cinnamon and fresh orange juice. Mix it until smooth.
Whip the egg whites until firmly foamed and stiff. Carefully add to the dough and mix with a wooden spoon. Let the dough stand a little.
Heat a waffle pan, add a tablespoon of the dough, and bake it until browned. If you want the waffles to be extremely crispy, bake a little longer.
After removing it from the pan, we roll the waffle around and wait for the next waffle to bake. Once cooled, the waffle crumbles immediately and cannot be rolled.
Serve waffles sprinkled with sugar powder. Enjoy!
