What chocolate is best for fudgy brownies?

Chocolate is important part of this recipe. As you may know chocolate is made from two main ingredients: cocoa powder and cocoa butter. You can find a bigger amount of cocoa powder in dark chocolate and there is no in white chocolate.

Chocolate is better when more of cocoa powder is in it. So, before baking this Chocolate Fudge Brownie with Nuts, search for chocolate that has at least 70 per cent of cocoa powder in it. This will be more expensive but your tummy will be more happy.

How to make this Chocolate Fudge Brownie with nuts?

First, combine your chocolate and butter in a bowl over a pot of simmering water.

Pour chocolate and butter into a bowl and mix until smooth. Add one egg and mix it. Repeat this with all eggs. It is important to add them one by one.

Next, sift together all of your dry ingredients (flour, salt, baking powder) and then fold in the gough in couple of times. Folding ensures you don’t overwork the batter, leading to tough brownies.

Add some nuts and leave the dough for couple of minutes to rest.

How long you should bake this Chocolate Fudge Brownie with Nuts?

Brownie kind of pies are those which cannot be over baked. By saying this, I want to stress that it is very important to follow how pie is doing right there in the oven.

If you really want to make it fudgy and soft with a feeling that a huge amount of chocolate is placed on your plate, you should bake a brownie at least for 30 minutes and the see how it goes.

The best way to check is by using a wooden toothpick. Remember:

  • if a toothpick inserted in the center of the pie comes out covered in dough, the pie should be baked a little bit more.
  • if it comes out without any clums, the pie is already over baked.
  • if a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist clumps clinging to it, the pie is ready!
